Roger's father was driving a motorcycle when it was hit by a drunk driver. After many operations he was told he would never really recover unless he left the damp cold weather of England and move to somewhere with a high altitude. The doctors suggestions were Brazil or Kenya. The year was 1929. (pages 3-7)
